How to remove yourself from MyLife in July 2026

MyLife allows you to opt out using an online privacy request form. Here's how to locate all of your profile listings and complete the removal process.

This guide is based on the code we use to perform automated opt-outs for our customers so it has all the tips and tricks we've learned since 2020 to make removals thorough and reliable. It was last updated on July 29, 2026.

Standard Opt-Out Process

Find your listings: Search for your name and location on mylife.com. MyLife frequently creates separate profiles for different locations or former names, so be sure to search for every combination of your first and last name along with every city and state you've lived in. Click on each profile that belongs to you and copy the full web address (URL) from your browser bar.
Go to the Opt-Out form: Open the MyLife Privacy Request page.
Fill in the information mylife.com's records have about you: Select the match's State, enter its First Name, Last Name, City, ZIP Code, and Birth Year, then paste the MyLife Profile URL.
Verify your email (if required): For most states, you must complete an email verification step inside the form. Enter your email address and click to submit. Check your email inbox for a verification code sent to you, paste that code back into the form field, and submit the code to verify your email.
Submit the request: Complete the CAPTCHA security check at the bottom of the form and click Submit. You should see a message confirming Request Submitted!
Repeat: Complete the opt-out form for any additional profile URLs you found during your search.

Things to Keep in Mind

1. Email verification bypass for California

MyLife's opt-out form does not require email verification if California is selected as the state. If you run into issues with receiving the email verification code, selecting California in the state dropdown will bypass the email verification requirement entirely. Removals seem to work regardless of whether your record's address is in California.

2. U.S. state dropdown limitations

The opt-out form only allows standard U.S. states in its dropdown menu. If your address is located in a U.S. territory or non-state region (such as Washington D.C. or Puerto Rico), you will need to select a state (such as CA) for the form to accept the request.

3. Search every past address

MyLife routinely maintains duplicate records for the same individual tied to previous cities or addresses. It is common to have multiple listings, so checking all past cities you've lived in is necessary to ensure complete removal.
